The Catholic Church in Southwest Washington is opening a new chapter in the history of our local Church by embarking on a campaign to build St. Elizabeth Ann Seton High School. Catholic schools have played a major role in Southwest Washington's history for over 150 years. Mother Joseph and the Providence Sisters founded Providence Academy in 1856, and we have grown to four primary schools in the area. Today, we build upon the legacy of those who have gone before us as champions of Catholic education to further honor St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, foundress of Catholic schools in the United States.
